Greater Victoria's driveways mostly aren't crumbling. They're old, stained and cracked at the joints. A resin-bound surface goes over sound concrete and gives you a new driveway without the demolition.

Old concrete that's still solid. Plenty of driveways and patios in Saanich, Oak Bay and Fairfield were poured fifty or sixty years ago. The slab is fine. The surface is cracked at the joints and stained in a way pressure washing won't fix. We clean it, repair any failing sections, prime it and lay the resin-bound surface over the top.
Rainwater rules. The City of Victoria bills its stormwater utility partly on hard surface area and offers rebates for permeable paving. A permeable driveway built on a new base is the kind of project the program is aimed at. Details are below.

City of Victoria: Rainwater Rewards
The City of Victoria's Rainwater Rewards program offers owner-occupied homes with one to four units a one-time rebate for permeable paving: about $20 per square metre, for at least 10 square metres, up to roughly $750, or more with an infiltration system. Low-density homes can also get a 10% credit on the stormwater utility bill, which is renewed periodically. Apply before work starts.

Can you go over old concrete in Victoria?
Usually, yes. If the slab is sound, with no major settling or crumbling, we clean it, prime it and resurface over it. If sections are failing, we repair those first and include the work in the quote.
