Resin-bound patios and walkways

One seamless stone surface that pours around fire pits, hot tubs, steps and planters. No joints to weed and no pavers to lift back into place every spring.

The patio you'll actually use

Patios live a harder life than driveways: barbecue grease, spilled drinks, planters that sit in one spot for fifteen years. Pavers shift, concrete stains and stamped patterns trap grime in the lines.

  • One continuous surface

Nothing to re-sand or re-joint, and nowhere for weeds or moss to root.

  • Hoses clean

Most spills rinse off. Because it drains, liquids don't sit long enough to soak in the way they do on concrete.

  • Flat and even

Chairs and tables sit level, and there are no lifted pavers to catch a heel on.

  • Drains straight through

No puddles after rain and no standing water around the hot tub steps.

Where it earns its keep

Different parts of the same backyard, all in one install and one blend.

  • The main patio

Where the chairs, the table and the dog actually live. Level, seamless and easy to sweep.

  • Around the fire pit

Set the fire pit itself on a stone pad, and the seating area around it can be one seamless surface.

  • Hot tub surrounds

Splash drains through, so there's no slick puddle by the steps and no algae in cracks you can't reach.

  • Outdoor kitchens

Grease and marinade rinse off with a degreaser and a hose. No grout lines for it to settle in.

Walkways and garden paths

The same material for anywhere people walk and water needs to drain. It pours into curves that pavers can't follow and stays level enough to roll a wheelbarrow over.

  • Front entries

The first twenty feet a visitor sees. We match the blend to your driveway so it reads as one surface.

  • Side-of-house runs

The shady strip between the gate and the back deck where moss always wins. It has nowhere to grow here.

  • Around trees

A permeable surface lets rain reach the roots, unlike concrete poured up to the trunk.

Patio and path questions

More on the FAQ page, or call (250) 802-6488.

Can I have a fire pit on it?

Yes, with a heat-proof base under it. Set a wood-burning fire pit on stone, pavers or a fire pit pad rather than straight on the surface, because direct heat and hot embers can scorch the resin. We can leave a stone pad in the design for it. Gas fire tables on legs are usually fine.

Will furniture and planters mark it?

Normal patio furniture is fine. Heavy planters can leave rust or water marks like they would on any surface, so use pot feet or saucers. Most marks come up with a degreaser and a pressure wash.

What about oil, leaves and moss?

It's stain-resistant, not stain-proof. Most spills rinse off, and because liquids drain away they don't sit long enough to soak in the way they do on concrete. Clean up fuel and oil quickly, and use a degreaser and a pressure wash for anything stubborn. In shady, damp spots a little moss or algae can grow on the surface; a dilute bleach wash or Vuba's surface cleaner clears it. Try not to turn the steering wheel while parked, which scuffs any driveway.

Is it slippery when it's wet?

It grips well when wet. The stone gives the surface a fine, natural texture, and around pools and in other wet spots we add Binding Quartz, Vuba's anti-slip additive, for extra grip. Like any outdoor surface, keep shady areas clear of moss and wet leaves.

Can it go over my existing concrete or asphalt?

Usually, yes. If the slab is structurally sound, with no major settling or crumbling, we repair the cracks, clean and prime it, lay a reinforcement mesh and trowel the stone surface over the top. That saves the cost and mess of demolition. If the base is failing, we'll show you on the site visit and price a new base instead.
